Spend a fun Sunday enjoying brunch and learning techniques you can use to make great holiday gifts (or to keep for yourself). We'll demonstrate four quick-to-make projects and you can spend the day working on as many projects as your wish. Learn to make snap bags, humbug bags, zippy strippy bags, or wallets.

Into to EQ6 or EQ7
Have you been curious about this amazing computer drawing program from Electric Quilt Company? It’s easier than ever to learn. This beginner’s class will show you just how user-friendly the program is – by the end of class you will have designed your very own quilt, and have the confidence to continue when you get home; where your inspiration and creativity are sure to flourish. Best of all, EQ6 or EQ7 can serve as your virtual design wall, to audition fabrics, block placement, setting options, border sizes, etc. You can see before you sew! Once you “EQ,” your computer will become an important tool in your sewing room! Students must have laptop with a personal copy of EQ 6 or 7 installed on it to take this class.

 No-Sew Basket I
Learn this ancient Native American technique for making baskets with fabric and a crochet hook. You may take only one part of the class to learn the technique and make a lovely basket. Part Two goes onto making handles, embellishments and other shapes. Learn a practical new skill from the ancient culture of our area.

Join us for a special two-session evening class! You will make a great tote bag using Texture Magic to give it a “one of a kind” look that will have your co-workers and friends going “WOW!” Lots of pockets and room inside for your Smartphone, E-reader, Netbook and other daily essentials. Your tote can be funky or elegant depending on your fabric choices. In the first session you’ll learn to create with Texture Magic. In the second session you’ll complete the tote.
