School's in Session!
Last year's Schoolhouse was such a phenomenal success,we're doing it again. Modeled after the Schoolhouse event we attend at International Quilt Market, this is a fun day jam-packed with information, techniques and ideas that will improve your quilting and get your creative juices flowing! During the day you will attend six different "classes" taught by experienced TQM faculty, including demonstrations, handouts & free giveaways. The day is capped off with Market Madness with Lynda & Bonnie, where you will be treated to a sneak-peak of the latest and greatest things we found at Quilt Market in Houston. This is a day not to be missed, and it will fill fast, so register early if you'd like to attend!

The Great Pillowcase Challenge!

We've been so excited about this upcoming event that it's been hard to keep it under wraps! The Quilter's Market is proud to join in the 1 Million Pillowcase Challenge project sponsored by allpeoplequilt.com in a Great Big Pillowcase Sew-In Day to benefit Heads at Ease, a local project that delivers hand-made pillowcases to our service men and women stationed overseas. We're inviting teams (and don't worry if you don't have a team - we'll put you on one!) to come and sew pillowcases on Saturday, November 27. There will be prizes, giveaways and the pace will be fast, furious and fun! Our goal: 400 pillowcases in one day! Stop by the shop for an informational handout and to sign up!
The Great Fabric Round-Up Shop Hop

Grab your friends and load up the car; it's time to hit the road for the Southern Arizona Shop Hop! Eight days of shopping, demonstrations and fun at nine fabulous southern Arizona shops. Visit all the shops and turn in your Trail Card and your name will be placed in a drawing for one of nine fabulous prize baskets (valued at $200) or the grand prize - a Brother sewing machine! Trail Cards go on sale Friday, Oct 1 for $5

Mystery at the Market
Fridays, Nov 19 & Dec 3 · 6 pm -10pm
Do you love adventure and the unknown? Join Clue Masters Jean and Jo as they present their latest Quilter’s Market Mystery Quilt over two extra-special evenings filled with fun, food and intrigue as you unravel the clues to their custom-designed quilt. Enjoy a full dinner prepared by Bonnie and solve the clues one-by-one as the evenings unfold. You’ll be guessing ‘til the very end and we guarantee you’ll have a great time!

Go Go Scrap In
Calling all GO GO Girls!
If you've got a new Accuquilt GO! fabric die cutter, you're a GO GO Girl! Let’s dig into our scrap baskets and use our GO! Cutters to make a fun and easy project. You choose the shape you want (triangles, squares or tumblers, maybe?) and cut up some of your scraps and spend some time sewing, visiting and enjoying a pizza dinner.

Strippers Club

At The Quilter’s Market, we think quilting should be fun, and if you haven’t been to Strippers Club yet, you’re missing a LOT of fun!
Our most popular event, Stripper’s Club is wild & crazy and best of all – FREE!
During even numbered months, we feature a new quilt based on 2 ½” strips. Some are super easy and some are a little more challenging, but they’re all a lot of fun and a great way to use those strips that have been accumulating in your scrap basket.
And actually, even though we call it a club, there are no dues and nothing to join. Just show up and receive a FREE pattern for that month’s quilt and a short demo on how the quilt is made. There’s Show & Tell, some great door prizes and a lot of fun and laughter.
Each quilt goes on display a few days prior to the meeting. If you’d like a strip set to make a quilt just like ours, prepay BEFORE Strippers Club Saturday and save $5 off the regular kit price!

Loose Change
First Saturday of the month, Oct – April 2011 (Skip Jan) • 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm
It's back! Our ever-popular Loose Change has returned with six more fun designs and coordinating nickel packs hand-selected just for you! Each meeting features a new small quilt or project; you receive a pattern and a 60-piece pak of coordinating 5" squares to go with the project. Besides demonstrating how the quilt is made, we'll have show & share (and it's so much fun to see what others have done with their nickel paks) and maybe a door prize or two. Plus, club members get all their other nickel pak purchases from TQM at a special price. It's a fabric collectors dream!

The Great Scrap Sew-In
Rumor has it that a few of you have a stash of scraps…odds and ends that are just too good or too pretty or too big to toss…here’s your chance to put them to use in a super easy and fun project – and we’ll do the cutting! Here’s how it works: Bring us your scraps ahead of time (see the supply list for guidelines) and we’ll cut them for you into precise 2 ½” or 5” squares, half square triangles, tumblers or diamonds using our AccuCut machine. Come to class ready to sew and have a fun day of non-stop sewing and fun with Lynda and Bonnie – and we’ll provide lunch!

Girls Night Out
The last Saturday of the month Sept 25, Oct 30, Nov 20 & Jan 1, 2011.

Still one of our most popular events! Enjoy a night of girl talk, great food and an opportunity to work on your current project at Girls Night Out. Now on the last Saturday of the month, we’ll feed you a great dinner; you’ll make some new friends and have some uninterrupted time to work! Stay late or leave early; it’s up to you. Just be ready for lots of fun and fellowship with your fellow quilters. Note: this is a very popular event and you must pre-register to attend. You may only enroll yourself for this event – no “group” sign-ups, please, and the doors open at 4:45 pm.
